Sentient Sewage Sludge

Chaos seeps in every crevice where the prim and proper, hyperrealistic influences of a new age in technology and consumption are disintegrated in favor of a molten concoction of unapologetic, extravagant expression.

 

Sentient Sewage Sludge explores the various articulations of mayhem, often finding in the bold and brash brushstrokes a certain kind of candor the generation so craves–a generation burnt out by outside forces competing for unbridled attention, burnt out by the burdens of being another fodder for the Mighty Greed Machine. The works demand to be looked at, each figure speaking for its own, every little shape a testament to the works reveling in their own contradictions and affirmations. The themes depicted flow at ease in a continuous sludge: mangled, reimagined bodies, sensuality, tenderness, and mythical worlds. Together, they reflect a mirror to a new reality not going anywhere anytime soon. 

 

That reality finds itself not on a string of words or a group of sentences claiming comprehension of its referent–but in the worlds of whim and impulse that lie from inside the canvas, luring every sentient being into their siren song.
